Teleconsultation consent information

Teleconsultation is voluntary. This page explains its practical limits so consent can be informed.
Last updated · 18 August 2026

What teleconsultation involves

Audio/video and information you provide are used for clinical assessment. You may ask questions, request clarification or withdraw from a consultation.

Identity, age and location

You may be asked to confirm identity, age, contact details and your physical location in India. Accurate location is important if urgent local help becomes necessary.

Limits of online assessment

Remote assessment cannot replace every physical examination, investigation or in-person observation. Dr. Hazare may recommend local emergency care, an in-person review, laboratory testing or another clinician when appropriate.

Privacy and records

Join from a quiet private place and use a device you trust. Relevant clinical records, consent and prescriptions may need to be maintained as required professionally and legally. Confidentiality has exceptions where disclosure is required by law or immediate safety concerns.

Prescriptions and treatment

A prescription, diagnosis or particular treatment is never automatic. Any recommendation depends on clinical appropriateness, available information and telemedicine rules.

Acknowledgement

Proceeding to book and participating in the consultation indicates that you understand the online format, have had the opportunity to ask questions and consent voluntarily. Formal consent may also be confirmed at the appointment.
